Bible Verse for Today
“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” , Psalm 4:8
Evening Reflection
As the day comes to a close, your mind may still be carrying pieces of it. Words that were said. Things that did not go as planned. Thoughts you could not fully resolve.
Even when the day is over, the heart does not always switch off easily.
But this is where God gently calls you to release it all.
You were not created to carry the weight of every moment into the night. There is a place where responsibility ends and trust begins.
David understood this. He did not lie down in peace because everything around him was perfect. He lay down in peace because he knew who was watching over him.
God has carried you through this day, even in moments you did not notice. And He is still faithful as you enter the night.
You do not need to replay everything. You do not need to fix everything before sleep. You only need to surrender it to God.
Night Prayer
Lord Jesus, I come before You at the end of this day.
I lay down everything I have carried, the good and the heavy, the moments I understood and the ones I did not.
Forgive me for where I failed. Thank You for where You carried me.
Quiet my thoughts tonight. Remove every anxiety and restless feeling. Let Your peace settle in my heart.
I trust You with what is finished and with what is still unresolved.
Watch over me as I sleep. Cover my mind, my body, and my spirit with Your presence.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Tonight’s Encouragement
You are not responsible for holding this day together anymore. God is still awake, and He has not let you go.
